How we count
Server-side, bot-filtered, deduplicated. Small true numbers over big fake ones.
Visitors and apply clicks are counted on the server, never in the browser. We drop known crawler user agents and requests from datacenter/hosting IP ranges, rate-limit bursts, and deduplicate by hashed IP and session: one visitor per session per 30 minutes, one apply click per listing per IP per day. Raw IP addresses are never stored — only salted hashes.
These numbers are real and will sometimes be small. A smaller true number is worth more to us than a bigger fake one.

How ranking works
A fixed calculation from two inputs: how much a company paid, and how long ago. No randomness, no auction.
remaining = boost_balance × (1 − days ÷ 30)
The order
Every listing shows the money remaining on its boost, and that is what it is ranked by: highest first, ties to the most recently posted role. That is the whole ranking — no hidden weighting, no clearing price.
Decay
Every boost runs down evenly over 30 days and is spent on day 30, whatever its size. Paying more buys a higher position, not a longer one. Below ₹1 a listing is no longer featured, though it stays live until its valid-through date.

Re-boosting
A new payment adds to what is left and restarts the 30 days. A company that paid ₹3,000 ten days ago and pays ₹3,000 again today has ₹5,000 remaining (the ₹2,000 left plus ₹3,000) — not ₹6,000. There is no maximum: the top spot belongs to whichever listing has the most remaining.
What you are paying for
A featured placement is a time-limited advertising service on Startup Jobs Board: your listing is shown with the prominence the formula gives it, for as long as the formula keeps it above the floor. That service is delivered the moment your payment is captured.
Fees (plus tax collected at checkout by Dodo Payments) are non-refundable and are stated as such at checkout and in our terms. Nothing is won; there is no chance element; no outcome (views, applicants, hires) is promised.
